Adrocur side effect

Post by mantonis (imported) »

Hello,

I'm taking androcur for 20 days now. I started with 100mgr and now I ended to 25mgr because I experience a side effect. I feel nips around my abdominal and I'm afraid something is going wrong. When I lowered the dossage to 75mgr the nips were gone for two days. When they came back I reduce the dossage to 50mgr. Fine for two days and then back again with abdomen nips. I ended with 25mgr per day but still the same prob. Fine for two days and the nips are back.

Is it possible with just 25mgr a day to fill abdomen nips? I'm young, 29 years old. No one in my family had ever liver problems....

I think I will go to a hospital today to check it but I wont say the truth, maybe. I do not know what to do...

the drug may becausing some side effect, but after 20 days it wouldnt be the cause of a liver problem, that would take several months. If it is a liver problem it was pre-existing.

Either way you and everyone else should have a full medical exam before starting chem castration, so that you know your baseline.

What are "abdomen nips?"

I'm Greek and it's hard for me to explain some thinks....

I'm tenderness in stomach, not pain.

I went to the hospital today and I did x-rays on stomach and the doc found that I'm constipated. I have excrements and gases in my stomach. I did not tell him that I'm taking androcur anyway.

How should I check my liver? Can I check it via blood test?

Simple blood tests are used to check liver function. They recommend them for cholesterol lowering drugs about 2 minutes on TV.

Another very likely cause is anxiety, worry, stress, excitement, over active mind. One often gets very excited about taking the drug. They are looking for any changes to the body. Any side effects they may have read becomes something they are looking for in their body. The brain will cause some physical changes in the body. The brain can play tricks on the body.

Starting with 100mg a day is often the starting point. You may be allergic to androcur. Think you mean pimples not nips. Pimples are small raised bumps in the skin.

No it's not pimples or anything that you can see on the skin. It's just tenderness like weak cramps.

I guess that I do not need to mention to the doc that I want to do blood tests to check my liver.
