Hi,
I am wondering what is the lowest dose one can take to lower T levels. Doesn't have to be castrate leveles. Will 25mg 2x daily lower t levels at all? Does anyone have any experience at this low dose? Thanks
Lowest Siterone dose for T lowering effect?

Everyone is different in the amount needed. Read the other post in this area and you will find great information of others experience. Judging from your age you would be more likely to start out at 100mg a day. Try that for a month and see the results.
50mg may give you some effect. That is a hard call.

Re: Lowest Siterone dose for T lowering effect?
I have been on 50mg of Siterone for the good part of eight months now. Along with all the effects that many others have already spoken about here, I normally do not think about sex. Occasionally, on those weekend mornings when we can stay in bed late, I'll ask my wife if she wants to make love. If her answer is tentative, I'll quickly start to get hard. If she doesn't follow through, I'll get soft again very fast without being sexually frustrated. But when she is willing to participate, sex with her is still enjoyable for me, even without an ejaculation.
I don't know if this particular experience is a result of my dosage. If I were to increase it to 100mg a day, would I likely become even more disinterested in sex and be less able to perform? Would my sex drive then more mirror that of someone who is physically castrated or are my current experiences the same as others taking larger dosage of Siterone and be typical of those who are castrated and have a spouse?

Re: Lowest Siterone dose for T lowering effect?
Manufacturer instructions are to start off with a high dose (200-300 mg a day) and then slowly reduce the dose by no more than 50mg per week, or 2 weeks. and never just stop taking it abrubtly. Each person is different. I started at 200mg 3 weeks ago and have been reducing it by 50mg each week. I am not at 100mg/day and hope to be at 50mg/day by the end of one month on siterone, or I may just stay at 100mg for another week or two before dropping to 50mg. Once you are at the 50mg /day level you can then stop taking it at any time you want with minimal adverse effects.
Some people loose the effect at 50mg/day and have to stay at 100mg/day. You just never know until you walk the mile.

Did you start on 50mg or did you start higher and taper down to maintenence dose? Can you please list the effects individually that you experienced? Is your ejaculate dry like others? Has your penis or testes shrank? Do you have manboobs, fatigue?? Do you have nocturnal emissions? What was the longest you abstained form sex while on androcur? Thank you in advance for your answer.

1. Started at 25, increased it to 50 and then 75 and back to 50.
2. I spoke about my effects in previous posts and they seem to be identical to others on Siterone who have posted here.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.
5. No, I also take 20 mg of Tamoxifen.
6. My body seems to have adjusted to the fatigue and I am much less tired than when I started. I take vitamins too, which helps, as well as regular exercise.
7. No.
8. Maybe three months.

Tamoxifen/Nolvadex also reduces the estrogens, also Arimidex will prevent Testosterone from converting to estrogen.
Guess if that is what works for you, you need to have some type of hormones going on.
Really it just deends on the person what is needed sometimes age as a factor shows a need for more.
It is always better to give things a test drive than making such a ecision for life that can be difficult to figure out and have to deal with.

Re: Lowest Siterone dose for T lowering effect?
Hi,
It really does depend on yout metabolism, everyone is different. The maximun reccomended dose is 200mg daily. Some poeple take 50mg a day others need 200mg
Some startwith a low dosage and gradually increase it over time and others start high and drop down.
Which is right?
Neither! If you start high you will experience the effect faster and all the side effects like hot flushes, feeling cold and loss of energy.
Hence there is an argument for starting with moderate dosage and building it up.
Coupled with other feminising drugs there is a balance look at Transgendercare website they have a good regimen tht is pretty easy to adapt to your own body.
