I second Paolo. Leave politics out of the MOM thread. There will be plenty of time for Politics at the MOM.

Re: West Coast MoM II The sequel....
Not sure I'll be able to attend. The only day I know I have available for certain is June 20th and it poses a couple of issues, 1. it's the last day, people will be going home, and 2. it's my brothers birthday. The second isn't so problematic, but I don't know if I'll have that Saturday off as I'm hearing I'll be having to work Saturdays as my schooling goes forward into the summer. *shrugs*
I could definitely make it on Sunday, but again, you guys might be leaving.
Hmm... Hopefully I'll have that Saturday off, of perhaps I can blow it off and do a make-up day for my schooling later. We'll see.
What is the list of definite attendees?

Please stay tuned... I think there is likely to be an announcement soon. I would tell you more but that would kill the suspense

Re: West Coast MoM II The sequel....
The West Coast MoM is rapidly approaching. Jema, Chilliwilli, and I have met a couple of times for planning sessions. Everything seems to be coming together for an exciting time. What we need now is a rough estimate of how many people to plan for.
If you are thinking about attending, now is the time to let us know.
Chilli will be bringing a couple of extra bicycles for anyone who wants to ride the mile to the Russian River or who wants to visit any of the nearby wineries on two wheels. (Three wineries can be seen from the property and are a reasonable walk. More are within 2 or 3 miles.) There’s a nice creek on the property, as well as a horseshoe pitch, ping pong table, vintage Pac Man game, and other amusements.
Anyone who is thinking about attending, please
I will send additional details about the site and event to those who write to me.

In a rural area near Healdsburg, CA
(an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge)
The site has plenty of parking space for camping trailers and RVs. There is a grassy area for anyone who’d like to bring a tent and sleeping bag. There are motels about 10 minutes away in Healdsburg (and cheaper motels in Windsor, about 20 minutes away). Guerneville, a small town with the third highest percentage of gay and lesbian residents of any census tract in the U.S. is 15 miles (and 40 minutes by winding rural roads) away from the site. It’s another 15 miles (and 25 minutes) from Guerneville to Jenner, on the coast at the mouth of the Russian River.

Plan on a jacket or windbreaker for cool eveningjemagirl (imported) wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2009 3:51 pm The average daily high for the period is 88° and the average nightly low is 53°. These are “average” and it’s possible to have days that reach 100° or have the fog roll in from the coast and the night drop down to the low 40s.

Let me know how likely you think your attendance will be – ranging from “I hope to be able to attend” to “Nothing will stop me short of a national disaster.” Also include whether or not you plan to stay on site or in town.jemagirl (imported) wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2009 3:51 pm Include your regular email address to which attachments (including a PDF map to the site) can be sent.

Re: West Coast MoM II The sequel....
I had hoped and planned to be there, then reality struck.
I need to work now until the 25th, so that end that.
Still, I hope later in the summer to visit the area. I'd like to take the wife and kids on the Skunk Railroad. Wife has friends in central CA, etc. I have messaged with chilly and maybe there are others in that part of the world who will be around.
Hope all who attend enjoy.
