Day 3
Its 3 days now since my surgery, still swollen like you wouldn't believe and the bruising is as black as, but surprisingly there has been no pain at all, yes it aches but that's only a dull ache, and wearing one of my wifes pads makes it a bit awkward walking around
but all in all both my wife and ...

When I saw my urologist about my cancer he sent me to an oncologist, long story short the oncologist started me on zoladex (chemical)
at my next visit to my urologist we were discussing my hydraseal opp, when he said he can always do a full castration while he was in there fixing 2 problems at once ...

Re: Castration
I wasn't ambivalent about it, I wanted to talk to people who had had it done and were not on a T supplement.
At my age 71 the loss of my balls means very little to me, and have seen the results of chemical castration (my son in law) and didn't really want to go down that road.

Castration
Today (Wed) was the day, went into hospital for a hydroseal repair and came out with a full surgical castration.
Its not too bad at the moment, 11 hours later and hardly even an ache , fingers crossed it stays that way.

Re: Hormones or not
Thank you, this is the type of thing I want to know. My son in law is chemically castrated and has been for the last 18 months for prostate cancer and he is in agony at times with joint pain, did you have any of that at all? YMMV ??
