So if someone's interested in castration for libido reduction rather than sex reassignment, what sort of therapist would they seek out? How achievable would getting a letter be in that circumstance?

I've been taking vitex (800mg/day) for about four weeks now, to see if it will have any effect on reducing my libido before I look into more extreme measures. So far it hasn't lowered my libido noticeably (if anything, it might have increased), and it reminds me a bit of when I've been on prednisone ...

Thanks for the responses. For those posters above who said that they had to (or received a doctors' recommendation to) go back on testosterone after surgery--may I ask what the medical reason was for this? I want to know as much as I can about what I'm getting into...
