Re: Question about chemical castration in young adult men

Romantic love and sex drive are not the same thing, although it might seem that way to a university age man. Plenty of people who have no sex drive are capable of (and desire) intimate relationships. You can still enjoy the company of women and want to live with them even if you are not very ...

Re: burdizzo question

God tell me it's a joke...

I have heared that it take no more than 15 seconds on farm animals, Why would it take more than that on humans?

Arent humans testicles much smaller too?

The sort of death and infection rate that is acceptable on livestock would be appalling for humans. My ex ...

Re: Bio-engineered penises are making advancement

As a scientist and all-around nerd, I think this is cool. On a personal level, I don't actually use the one I have (actually, I haven't even seen it in four months, since it is locked in a stainless steal housing). On they other hand, if they could build one for my old lady, that could be no end of ...

How do you get someone to prescribe you a real andro blocker?

In California they have passed a law that says an insurance company has to cover anything for transgender patients that they would for cisgender patients, as long as it is medically necessary. Since my HMO covers androgen blockers ...

Re: What are good hobbies to do alone?

I've always done most things alone, even when I was a kid. Right now I'm producing a YouTube television series[/URL] in my garage (13 20-minute episodes + a blog). The only help I've had were two episodes when my partner was home and offered to run the camera (http://youtu.be/LUvB_ry-dNY if anyone ...

Re: Over-the-counter methods of decreasing testosterone

Among all natural products sold over the counter, without prescription, only Saw Palmetto is known to be as efficient as "finasteride", a chemical anti androgen, to lower T level. None of the other natural products have shown to be efficient to lower T level.

Saw Palmetto (or finasteride) may not ...

Re: Over-the-counter methods of decreasing testosterone

I'm taking licorice right now and it does seem to be helping, but it isn't comparable to a real andro-blocker. There was a fairly high profile study in Italy a few years back in which they administered a fairly big dose and the average decrease in T was around 20%. Not negligible, but certainly not ...

Re: Chinese man has penis cut off with scissors and flushed down the toilet by wife

Does it strike anyone else as being remarkable that so many men survive attacks like this? Are we overestimating the risk in hacking off an unwanted penis? (And no, I'm definitely NOT recommending DIY penectomies! I was just struck by how many such attacks have been reported here and now few of ...

Introduction

Forum introductions are hard for me; the challenge is to distill and edit my life story to the point where it shows how I belong on that forum, without being so long it's boring. I'll try, though.

Probably the most pertinent piece of information is that I have been gender queer since I was old ...

Re: The End of Men

if you count all the hijra in India, yes it is that bleak. Taking them out of the loop, no it is definitely not that bleak.

I must say, that I was mainly thinking about the developed world (North America, Europe, parts of Asia). But I can see where that is a little chauvinistic of me ...
