I had only the right removed via inguinal surgery. The surgery destroys the fat layer in the surgical field, and years later, I'm still "lopsided." It probably doesn't bother anyone but me, but I think it makes me look odd. I guess is you have the surgery on both sides it would be perfectly balanced ...
