Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

3 month update. First injections were 20th December. Second set one week after that. Seems to have worked. Swelling has gone. No longer sensitive to pain if hit or squeezed. Reduction in size, about half what was there before and seems to be still reducing. Still taking spironolactone so not sure if ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

13 days since the first shots and 7 days since the second lot. I think it has worked. Pain has pretty much completely subsided. Still very swollen but feels as though they are dead material like they might as well be stones. Blood test results came back showing 0.86 nmol/L of testosterone. I can't ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

Seem to be through the worst of it. Managed to go for a run this morning which is great after two weeks between bed and the sofa. Still some sensitivity and swelling. Will wait to see what happens over next 30 days. Might do another shot maybe in a couple of weeks once swelling has reduced ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

Did second shots last night. Seemed to go OK. Another 0.8cc so with the first lot of 1.3-1.5cc into each I end up with around 2cc within a week so I think that is reasonably close to the correct dose. Not too painful at the time but a bit harder to inject, kind of a bit more resistance. Woke in the ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

OK well unless I can find a specific reason such as heightened medical risk of second injections while still inflamed, I think I'll go with round 2 later on tonight. I have to say, reading back through this thread, some of the descriptions of the dialogue different people have had with their puzzled ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

Males sense to wait that's kind of what I was thinking; although from what I'm reading it looks like the results and success probability are a factor of quantity of calcium delivered? What is the benefit of waiting and is there any medical reason not to wait e.g. does the swelling increase risk ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

OK I have read more of the thread now just been working through it at a bit at a time. I'm thinking of doing a second dose. First does was about 1.3 to 1.5cc all at centres. Using 30% food grade. Thinking about a further .5 to .7cc to bring total injected up to 2cc. And distribute it more by doing ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

OK Makes sense. I have been wondering about the probability of this having worked. And whether to do it again now to avoid inconvenience of this kind of pain later on.

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

Pain has been in lower abdomen. Not sure if that means the calcium chloride has migrated there but I guess maybe logically it could do. Was pretty sick with it yesterday but I think some of that was paracetamol overdose. A little better today. Just wanted to share that there is a lot of pain ...

Re: Calcium Chloride and Other Salt Injections for Castration

Thought Id update that the pain has really set in over the last 24 hours. Have been considering a trip to the hospital but of course its not that simple. What would you say happened?
