I checked into the ER and just described my symptoms exactly as they were, without mentioning the injections. I spoke to a nurse and a few doctors. They drew blood and did checks on heart-rate, temperature, blood pressure.

They all asked similar questions:

5 & 1/2 days post injection and I am out of hospital.

Looks like the infection is under control. Pain is back down to a constant 3/10, but sometimes can still spike up for a while. Hospital gave me some painkillers for when it happens.

Thanks for the support hopper. I think the hospital is definitely the place to be at the moment given the pain levels I've been experiencing so far. Thank god for Eendone.

An update from me.

I definately found the nurofen (ibuprofen) to be more effective than the panadol (paracetamol). My doctor actually suggested that the nurofen would help far more with the swelling than the panadol.

Despite this, the pain along with the nausea got too much to bare, so I checked ...

I've just passed the 24 hour mark. That was probably one of the worst nights of my life... There was the constant pain in the testicles (again back up to a 7/10 on my pain scale). On top of that, I had a fever, nausea, vomiting & sweating.
