Re: Moving from chemical castration to surgical castration
Although apparently the progesterone thread has been deleted or gone missing somehow since I posted it last night?

Re: How long to remain on blockers after surgical castration?
Thanks both of you, it's reassuring me to know this isn't common practice or advice for eunuchs. The practice seems to be standard for transsexual SRS/GRS in the UK, or at least used to be a decade ago when I last researched this. I have trans women friends who were definitely kept on androcur and ...

Moving from chemical castration to surgical castration
Apologies for the crossposting, but I've been chemically castrated for 13 years and I'm now transitioning to surgical castration and I have some questions about the likely hormonal effects of moving from goserelin (zoladex) to simply having no gonads.
I've posted the following threads in the ...

How long to remain on blockers after surgical castration?
Hi,
I'm aware that it's standard practice to remain on hormone blockers for some time after surgical castration as the endocrine system's feedback mechanisms will initially produce a flare in testosterone levels as it adjusts to the loss of the gonads.
When the blockers are the relatively ...

Re: Keep scrotum or not
I think a lot of the answers to my recent post on this subject are relevant:
http://www.eunuch.org/forums/showthread.php?22254-Pros-and-cons-of-the-smooth-look
No one responding there said their scrotum shrunk, it sounded more like those with larger scrotums lost elasticity.
Hope that helps, it ...

Re: Replacment T and drugs help
The testosterone deep muscle injection that lasts 3 months (12 weeks) is called Nebido. I have several FtM trans friends who are on this especially since the Sustanon shortage. I think it's only recently come into common use.

Re: Pros and cons of the smooth look?
Thanks again for the advice everyone. I was recently lucky enough to meet up with a good friend who had an orchiectomy about five years ago. I got to talk in detail about the operation and recovery and even look at the result. I'm feeling a lot happier about everything now, and also happy that ...

Re: orchiectomy before trying chemical castration
I have a few friends who got severe depression from cyproterone acetate (Androcur) despite taking full doses of female HRT and who recovered completely when changing to other anti-androgens, including more effective ones like goserelin (Zoladex). My gender psych used to start everyone on Androcur ...

Re: Pros and cons of the smooth look?
A real life friend of mine lost his testicles in an accident. They were hit by a 3 phase electrical line! To put it mildly they were cooked. They had no choice with him but to do the "eye" procedure you are describing. The result is that it appears as though he never had testicles. The stitches ...

Re: Pros and cons of the smooth look?
Thanks for your perspectives everyone. So far it sounds like no one has any 'smooth look' horror stories. Everyone who has had the smooth look is glad they did and everyone who didn't get it seems to want to have it as a second procedure or already has done.
