Re: Orchiectomy Scheduled!!!
Glad you had a good experience with the surgery and the healing. I had a bilateral orchiectomy last summer. For me the worst part was the emotional and physical roller coaster for the 2 or 3 weeks following the surgery. I was advised to go off estrogen for a couple weeks prior to the surgery and not ...

Re: Six Months to a Year?
I had my bilateral orchiectomy done more than 8 months ago, and I have had nothing but an amazingly positive experience since then. I had a slight change in energy levels back when I was on a very low dose of E (I'm MTF but slowly starting the transition process), but now that I'm on a higher dose ...

Erections after castration and on female HRT
I had an orchiectomy last summer. Best thing I've ever done! But my question is about erections. A few weeks after the surgery I went back on oral estradiol (2mg/day). I had no involuntary erections for the next 6 months, even had a little shrinkage of the penis. That was all great. But now I'm ...

Re: dr arnkoff new website
I heard there is a female doctor, possibly in New England doing Orchies on an elective basis, and on the day this person visited she was scheduled to do 10. Any truth to this report, or anyone know or have heard about her?
I had mine done by a female doctor, I'm in the northeast. She mentioned ...

Re: My PCP Is Referring Me To Urologist For Orchiectomy
Don't be nervous. I had my bilateral orchi done by a urologist exactly a month ago, and I only wish I had done it years ago! The scrotal scar is barely noticeable, my energy levels are the same, and maybe even increased since now my bipolar mood swings and gender dysphoria are gone. I also find that ...

Re: How long after surgery till T levels are 0
Thanks, everybody. Today is day 5. Last night the erections weren't as bad, and today I didn't have any of the hot flashes that I'd felt every few hours for the first 4 days. Seems like things are starting to level out and feel more "normal".
I also checked my insurance claims online today and saw ...

How long after surgery till T levels are 0
I had a bilateral orchiectomy done last Friday (4 days ago). I'm MTF, and had been on a low does of E for the past year so I haven't had erections for most of the past year, except when I wanted them. I really hated "morning wood" and random erections during the day, so being on E was great. However ...

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm scheduled for my double-orchie next Friday, and it's really helpful for me to read about your experience

Re: Does a Varicocele Interfere with Castration?
I'm curious to hear what your surgeon said about the varicocele. I have had one for 20 years on the left side, and a smaller one on the right side for at least 10. I'm MtF and have been on estrogen for a few years and can't tolerate any of the testosterone blockers that I've tried (spironolactone ...
