how long for healing?

I'm going to be getting a bilateral orchie next month and then moving overseas about 2 months after the surgery. I'm wondering if that's going to be enough time to heal properly, or should I try to push my move back further? Will I be able to sit down comfortably for the 20-hour flight when I'm 2 ...

darker beard with spiro?

I've always had light-colored blonde whiskers on my face. I started on a low dose of Estrogen about 5 months ago, then I started spiro about 3 months ago. Everything is going great mentally and physically, except that in the past few weeks about half the whiskers of my mustache area and under my ...

Re: estrogen causing chest pains?

I have an appointment with an endo in about a month, that's the quickest I could get in. So I guess I'll hold off on taking anything else until then. I've read about the clotting and chest pains issues associated HRT, I just wasn't sure if my mild pains were common or not.

estrogen causing chest pains?

I started on 2mg/day of estrogen (Estrofem) a few weeks ago (taking 1mg in the morning and the other 1mg at night). I felt great after the first week, so I upped it to 4mg/day (still split morning/evening). Within a day or so, I started having frequent pings of pain in the center of my chest (heart ...

start with estrogen, spiro, or both?

I'm going to begin a low dose trial of hormones to see if I like how I feel before starting the full transition process. What I'm wondering is if I should try the estrogen (Estrofem) for a week or two before starting Spiro, or should I only take Spiro for a little while to see how I feel without T ...

Re: varicocele complication

The pain I have is mostly just sensitivity of the mass of veins on the left side. It's always smaller in the morning and huge by the end of the day. I always wear tight undies since even a few minutes free-hanging scrotum causes some pain. I can easily tuck the right testicle up into the inguinal ...

Re: orchiectomy before trying chemical castration

Thanks for all the advice. I guess I didn't explain some of my background. I'm married, have young kids, they all know about my trans issues and have been supportive of me dressing at home for over a decade. Several close family members, some friends, and a handful of coworkers know about my desire ...

Re: orchiectomy before trying chemical castration

Yes, I know I have a lot to figure out. I'm 99% sure I'd want to proceed with estrogen and do a full MtF transition, but I guess I'm just making sure that there's still a an option to stay a male for that 1% chance. Even staying as a male but eunuch with no HRT seems like a better option than what I ...

varicocele complication

I have a moderate size varicocele on the left side of my scrotum that isn't painful, but it'd definitely not comfortable. Has anyone had a varicocele cause complications to an orchiectomy surgery? I had a urologist offer to fix the varicocele several years ago, but I didn't since it wasn't causing ...

orchiectomy before trying chemical castration

I have a lifelong history of gender identity issues and finally decided to change things this year. It seems like the easiest thing would be for me to get a voluntary orchiectomy now and then take a very small dose of estrogen to see how things go, with possible full transition to follow. I know I ...
