Re: How to contribute stories?
Posting this here for lack of a better slot. I tried to contact an author of an old story and the email bounced. I would love to write an 'after' story say five years after the incident. I've seen a few continuation stories by different authors but should I try a different method of contacting him ...

Re: Star Trek - Into Darkness
I recall when the reboot came out many fans of Star Trek were appalled by the treatment of the franchise by a Star Wars fanboy - JJ Abrams. I found it very refreshing that there appeared to be no "sacred cows" in the reboot. The trailer does look to have elements of Khan, but given what Abrams did ...

Re: The Life Expectancy of Hobbits
The Hobbit has been expanded and additional material has been pulled from Tolkien's notes and Lost tales. It really has been set as the prequel for Lord of the Rings. As for number of females, the Silmarillion has Luthien as one of the single greatest characters in all of Middle Earth. But don't ...

Re: Marvel's The Avengers
Many fanboy moments for me, but the humor is what made the movie so enjoyable. I will be seeing it again. The fact that it has already hauled in $700 worldwide is astonishing. Five films to set this one up and now it will be interesting to see how Marvel lays out the set up for Avengers 2. I really ...

Re: Rites of Spring
Sounds like fun. Today is a day for planting a few new flowers and cooking a nice meal. I don't like abusing chocolate bunnies, so it will be a nice chocolate cheese cake.

Re: Moneyball
This movie is the first one in which I did not want to throw things at Jonah Hill. Truly loved the movie and because I'm a baseball guy; it was interesting to see this play out versus what I remember.

Re: Does Lack of Testosterone Cause Personality Changes?
I have hypogonadism and have been on T for 2 years. I can say that there is a huge difference when I am on T and not and it has to do with energy levels. Have noticed a few more late night erections, but the real change is the ability to get up in the morning and start the day. I know this thread is ...

Re: Minnesota Vikins
*sigh* all in an attempt to delay the Vikings from fleeing the state. Vikings have to place to play and the Jags have no fans in the stadium. One is likely to end up in LA and the other in San Antonio. I can't wait to see how this impacts realignment.

Re: Those Were The Days
The Berlin Wall fell in 1989. Gorbie had issues after Chernobyl and was forced to acknowledge the fact that there had been a disaster. I remember the long gas lines that those self same Cadillacs need so much of because of oil crunches. I remember the Iranian hostage situation. I remember Challenger ...
