How effective is male HRT

I am currently working my way through the hoops with testicular pain and have reached the nerve block in the spine section, which I am not finding as effective as the doc thought it would be, so I am seriously leaning towards having them removed and going on HRT.

My next appointment with the ...

Re: Castration in Australia

Well I went for an ultrasound yesterday and got a call from the urologists office a few minutes ago to say that the ultrasound had uncovered some abnormalities and he wanted me to come in at noon today to discuss options.

I actually do have testicular pain, but not that bad, just a dull ache ...

Re: Castration in Australia

I hear what you are saying about retaining the scrrotum and sensitivity, but I have felt mine and the most sensitive regions seem to be round the outside, in the tissue that will be retained after scrotal removal.

I had considered not having mine removed, but after reading of the discomfort ...

Re: Castration in Australia

Ok just a bit more.

Thanks to those of you who have counseled caution and a chemical try beforehand, I appreciate your input, but my interest in castration goes back more than 10 years and in that time, I have read extensively on the subject and the possible ramifications of such a decision.

I am ...

Re: Castration in Australia

Well a follow up on my visit to the doc today. He had a look and has sent me for an ultrasound and prescribed some high potency painkillers.

I have to go back in 2 weeks and he will then assess. He didn't seem too phased with the idea of performing a castration on me, just wanted to be sure that I ...

Re: Castration in Australia

Guys, thanks for your input on this. One question though, from what I have read about testosterone blockers, they block it totally, so you have no sex drive at all and this is definitely not what I want, as I still want to have some sex drive, just minimized.

Anyway, we will see what the doc says ...

Re: Castration in Australia

Thanks for that, I do appreciate your input, but I have done my research and my mind is made up, so if the doc agrees to castrate me tomorrow, then I will get it done as soon as I can get it scheduled I really do want this and am prepared to take whatever is thrown at me. Ironically I did speak to ...

Castration in Australia

After viewing this archive extensively this weekend, I decided that I very definitely wanted to be castrated, but to still retain the ability to have sex.

I went to see my GP today and spun him a story about ongoing problems from a vasectomy 11 years ago. I told him the truth in that I had ...
