For me, standing wasn't a problem. It was sitting. My first 48 hours was laying in bed. I didn't sit straight for about 2 weeks. You do know your body better then any of us, we are just giving reasons based on experience.

Congratulations! I didn't leave the bed for 2 days after my orchiectomy. It was sitting up straight that was my biggest issue. It took like three weeks! But boy did it fix some pain I was constantly in.
