Obviously there are always risks in whatever we do and each of us needs to assess the risks in ways that are appropriate for each of us. From what I have read the risk of testicular cancer drops dramatically after age 40 tho there still remains some risk. So having a testicle that has reascended and thus not able to be fully palpated does not present as big an issue as if you are younger than 40.

Thanks for the response - the undecended testicle was first brought to my attention in my late 20's - why it was never treated in childhood I have no idea - my parents were dead by that time so I couldn't ask them but my family certainly had the money and we saw Docs all the time.
