If MemTest86 gives an error message it might not be the memory. My brother's computer had memory errors but when I switched the memory from my computer to his, it was still his computer that got errors. Both his memory and my memory tested bad in his computer and both tested good in my computer ...

Old thread, but IE7 actually works with a few tweaks.
Before installing it, uninstall ALL toolbars, Yahoo, MSN, Google, AOL, etc.
And during the installation, turn OFF your Antispyware and Antivirus.
Either can cause problems with IE7 installation (which is really almost like a Windows Service ...

if you can't get Vista to recognize/find the XP machines, have a look at the MS Knowledge Base KB922120. There is a download that makes XP compatible with the Vista Network protocol for finding/connecting to other network computers.
