It seems that alcohol alone is not a long term for testosterone reduction. The cells that make testosterone will regrow even if they are damaged by alcohol. My regular doctor prescribed Finasteride for me with no issue. When I asked about Dutasteride, I was told it has to be prescribed by a specialist doctor.

Neither Dutasteride nor Finasteride will lower sex drive though.

My recent blood test shows that my total Testosterone is 169 ng/dL, which is low, but not as low as surgical castration level.
