From last days I am suffering from breathlessness, chest tightness and coughing. I have visited a doctor who told me that I am suffering from asthma. I want to know what are the factors that cause asthma? Is asthma a chronic disease?

I take either tea or coffee 9 to 10 times a day. Few days ago I visited my family doctor for routine health checkup. He told me to reduce coffee and tea as my blood pressure is increasing and also there are some early symptoms of cardiovascular problem.
