Re: Three Years After Surgery
I don't think testosterone or lack of testosterone had anything to do with my changing my transition plans. I think that is probably the case with a lot of really fetishistic transitioners (intense crossdressers who decide to undergo SRS) but my transition was never about that. Rather, I came to the ...

Re: Estrogen Therapy
Premarin is a bad choice for HRT, since it's made from horse urine and contains estrogens foreign to the human body. Estradiol (sold under the brand names of Estrace and Estrofem) is a much better choice, and it less likely to cause blood clotting problems or similar than Premarin.

Three Years After Surgery
It's been over three years since my orchiectomy, done by Dr. Reed in Florida as part of my attempt to transition from male to female. Since that time, I have decided not to pursue any more gender-changing procedures (though I've also had some facial plastic surgery) and am now content to just be a ...

Re: castrated level T weight loss - excersize
My blood sugar shot up after my orchiectomy, so I would definitely get that checked. Rapid weight loss like that is NEVER a good sign.

Re: Obesity: Time bomb or dud?
It's still bad for you, no matter how you look at it. I've gained 60 pounds over the past two years, and looking bad (which I do) is the least of my problems. I'm short of breath, tired easily, and my blood sugar has gone into the borderline diabetes range. Not good at all. When you look at kids ...

Re: Decision Made & Going For It!
Firstly, you are on estrogen, wich is known to offset the effects of orchiectomy by and large. Additionally, estrogen has a powerful effect on the male pituitary wich definitely reinforces most of symptoms of menopause if you quit the regimen abrubtly vs. if you never started it in the first place ...

Re: Decision Made & Going For It!
For the most part, I think the "Eunuch Calm" is largely a myth. I know several non-HRT eunuchs, none of whom claim any kind of calm. I've only known of one to claim it. Besides, what is the measure of calm... Temper, stress management, etc.?
I agree. Even after orchiectomy AND estrogen ...

Estratest
I start this tomorrow. It's a pill made for post-menopausal women, and contains both estrogen AND testosterone (small amounts for the latter.) Right now, I take only estrogen and Proscar.

Re: sublingually taken androcur
There is zero reason to place Androcur or any other drug except for estradiol under the tongue. It's not meant to be taken this way, and you're probably just swallowing it. As for estrogen, it is a myth that "98 percent" or whatever is destroyed by swallowing it; if that were true, the pills would ...
