Are They All the Same?

I recently read a post on another message board, in which someone made the assertion that, since they recognize one deity, all monotheistic religions are fundamentally the same. I guess that one archbishop of the Church of England has even used "Allah" instead of "God" in services.

Of course, there ...

Re: Castration Fantasy Thoughts

The reference to "rubberiness" in post #27 above, reminded me of a joke I read on one of these message boards. Could have been this one, but I don't think so, as I usually don't access the joke section here.

Anyway, I don't recall the first section of the joke, but at the end of it, an uncastrated ...

Things to Put in Beer

Since this is midsummer, generally the hottest part of the year, and beer is one of the more prominent cooling beverages, I think this could be called the height of the beer season. In confirmation of this, there was even a beer summit during the last week.

So, I thought it might be appropriate to ...

Limited Choice of Laptop Diaplays

I have recently been shopping for a laptop computer, and I prefer the original three by four screen size, which is nicer for word processing, because you can see more of the text on the display.

But none of the new computers has a screen size in the original proportion, and the ones which have the ...

Re: Castration Fantasy Thoughts

Maybe I misread the earlier post, but isn't post #29 above, in contradiction to a post on an earlier thread, where the author recounted how she encountered a boatload of naked people on a lake in Texas, and one of the persons on the other boat was described as having his male organ swell up? Did she ...

Re: * * * censorship * * *

I post to and read a lot of message boards. I can tell you that several message boards I have accessed in the past, were ruined by people posting on them who had no civility, no common sense, or no ability to use restraint. If asked to decide between censorship and .license, I choose censorship

Assessing the Papacy

I recently read the observation, that the Roman Catholic hierarchy, headed by the pope, is the only institution which has survived from classical antiquity as a continually functioning organization. I suspect that some church organizations in the Eastern Orthodox and Coptic churches might be able to ...

Michael Jackson Joke

I first heard this within a couple of days after Michael Jackson died.

Having passed away, Michael Jackson goes to the hereafter. He wakes up with a man dressed in the robes of a catholic priest, standing to his right. To his left is another man in clerical robes, wearing a catholic cardinal's hat ...

Re: Well, that was fun!

Judging from the first post in this thread, in venturing west of the Pecos, Yoli experienced a wide variety of interactions with nature's animals, both during the live-long day and after the fall of night, as well as perusing a volume authored by a stripper, and then herself stripping, and ...

Most Scenic Interstate Highways

I think people would generally agree that some of the two lane highways in this country are more scenic than any of the interstates--examples are U.S. Highway one on the Pacific Coast, Highway 395 on the east side of the Sierras, and Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier Park. But those are out of the ...
