Re: Tax deductibility of castration

Hi,

Since writing the question I read the IRS pub on the subject of medical expense deductibility.

I just read the IRS Pub and it seems to confirm that it is a deductible item, including lodging and transport. The only caveat is that only those costs above 7.5% of your AGI are deductible.

This is ...

Tax deductibility of castration

Hi everyone,

Getting ready to file for last year, the year I was castrated. I was wondering if anyone would offer their opinion about if the expense is deductible. Although I knew it was best for my mental health, and it was, I didn't receive an Rx for the procedure.

Appreciate your opinions ...

Re: Castrated and soon to have my Scrotum removed

Hi Eddie,

Dr Kimmel castrated me and removed my scrotum at te same time, 17 Nov 03. I don't know if I can comment on the two surgeries separately, but I like Dr Kimmel as he honestly seems concerned.

The only problem I had was my stitches opened, but I think a lot of that was my fault as I drove ...

Re: How long does it take to perform a surgical castration?

Hi,

I have to aree with DeepCore; my surgery was about 1.5 hrs with Dr. Kimmel (Spector associate) 4 months ago (17 Nov. '04). I can't say how many shots I received, but by suture time, after balls and sac removal, the only thing I felt was the outer reaches of the sac area, but minor.

i don't ...

Re: What is the best estrogen dosage and type?

Hi,

The following is a good website for what you are talking about, although the site is really talking to MTF transition. I did some of these numerous times, both estradiol and Premarin AND an anti-androgen, over a period of three years for like three months at a shot. I bought it over the ...

Re: Thinking of a cover story for losing testicles

Tell 'em it's a war wound from somewhere in southwest Asia and you really can't talk about it.

For me, I've yet to be in a naked place with others, but so far I've been up front with all who need to know. Without any embarrassment, I just tell them I no longer wanted anything to do with sex. I've ...

Re: Testosterone Lowers Risk of Alzheimers

Hi guys,

I don't know what happened to me after getting cut just over two months ago, but I feel I'm thinking much more clearly now and am able to go deeper into subject matter while having an ability to tune out unwanted noise.

I'm not on any form of hormone or testosterone replacement and my T ...

Re: pain after castration

Hi Guys,

I was castrated and had my scrotum removed on 17 Nov. 2003. Dr Kimmel, Dr Spector's associate who did the procedure in Philadelphia, PA, was very thoughtful and considerate and he responded positively when I requested pain meds for probably a month afterward.

I didn't really have any ...
