Re: Men's Health article

An individual's personal experience and feelings real or perceived are not statistically meaningful except for that individual. That said, I've been cautious about testosterone's effects and do, indeed, rule my feelings by intellect rather than allow feelings to run riot.

The placebo effect is well ...

Re: The Mistress' Boy - inconsistent spelling

Thanks for the comment. I was too brief. I should have noted that the plot, story line, writing was above the usual standard for casual stories and fine reading.

I recommend writers review the book by Lynn Truss, EATS, SHOOTS & LEAVES, an excellent and humorous look at English grammar and ...

Re: How does HRT or the absence of affect you..

We must keep in mind that we are all individuals and that our personal experiences we relate are not meaningful in statistical terms as predictors of someone else's physiological and mental reactions. Our personal terms chosen to describe our reactions can be misinterpreted unless we filter them ...

Re: How does HRT or the absence of affect you..

The gels designed for application to the scrotum work fine, unless one has no scrotum any more due to having that removed during castration.

This is not a concern for most men, even those castrated, as they keep their empty sacs.

The pharmacology inserts for most transdermal medications such as ...

Re: Just started Paxil

While anxiety is what Paxil may be prescribed to combat, severe anxiety is one of the known side-effects, and the medication insert advises to stop the medication immediately.

Most physicians use handy reference materials to prescribe medications, and they go by the most-prescribed route without ...

Re: Just started Paxil

Checked the insert literature on Paxil, and severe anxiety is one of the potential risks. Had a partner who tried it and he had a very bad time. Normal people can have abnormal reactions to many drugs that pose no problem for the majority of people. Always read inserts to get informed of the ...

Re: How does HRT or the absence of affect you..

Playing with testosterone levels is not without complications. One can experience depression, sometimes severe, when hormones are rapidly falling. Friends have reported periodic depression when taking Depo-testosterone (testosterone cypionate) by injection once every month. The hormone levels rise ...

Re: Just started Paxil

A couple of guys who tried Paxil reported severe anxiety upon taking the first dose and had to stop it. They could not sit still or stand still but had to go out and walk all night long and almost went to the local hospital emergency room.

Tri-cyclic antidepressants like Paxil and Elavil are not ...
