Re: Started Depo ... finally.

Hi,

Sorry for the long delay in answering, but I never received the friend request and accidentally discovered it now.

I congratulate you on the chemical castration. I know it was a bold step for me when I did it 7 years ago, but I have no regrets. You will find that when the sex drive is lowered ...

Re: Results of Depo Provera

Although I am not 21, my T levels were nearly 700. It took a month to finally get to where I had to work at getting an erection. I can look at someone now and have no reaction. Hang in there because you will calm down after a month or so. I know I had to double up on the injections and now once per ...

Re: Depo Provera

My erections were still there after one month on Depo Provera. However, they became infrequent. Now, 7 years later, they are almost non-existent and none at night. I can get an erection now, but I have to work at it, concentrate. What happens is the organ slightly fills with blood but only last for ...

Re: On depo provera for 14 days now

How is the Dep working a year later? Are you still on it? I am happy with mine. Seven years now. I recommended more frequent injections for a young friend of mine on the directions of an RN. Basically, 450 mgs per week for the first month, then weekly 150 thereafter. His T levels went from 950 to ...

Re: Depo Provera & Diabetes

Kristoff,

Thank you again for taking the time to answer.

I appreciate the advice and the glucose and LDL is under control. This last glucose the A1C came in at 6.4 but I know why and it is being solved.

So, you feel that it is safe to return to Depo?

Ron

Re: Depo Provera & Diabetes

Thanks for the welcome wishes. I was wanting to return to chem castration and that's why I returned. After the diagnoses, I simply left the archive but now am back. I just wish I could get the right chem to do it.

I think my doctor was wrong about the depo associated with Diabetes. That is a ...

Re: Depo Provera & Diabetes

Also, does Depo hurt the liver over extended years of use?

I, too, have researched the medical literature and find no evidence of Depo having anything to do with Diabetes. I wonder think mine was simply overweight and stopping my exercise.

Yes, I want to return to Depo, but am afraid now.

Re: Depo Provera & Diabetes

Kristoff,

Thanks for taking time to answer this thread. I have often doubted the doctor's opinion. Depo is given, or was, to sex offenders. If the medical community felt there would be the onset of diabetes, then it would never have been allowed.

My A1C hit 6.4 this last check but has been around ...

Re: On depo provera for 14 days now

When I first started on Depo, my T levels were 875. Unbelievable sex drive which was in the way of my life.

I began with 2 injections the first week, one on Sunday, the other on Wednesday. I had the T levels checked and had dropped to 750. Nothing significant. I continued with 2 injections per week ...

Re: Depo Provera & Diabetes

After 3 months on Depo, my doctor diagnosed me with Type 2 Diabetes. He said the drug
shuts down the insulin pumps in the pancreas.

I now have to take medication for Diabetes much to my chagrin. Trying Depo again is too risky, but I still wish for chemical castration. Andrcur is too hard on the ...
