Re: HRT after castration

Anabolics (Steroids)? Aren't you thinking of something else? The wiki page on anabolic steroids shows a bottle of Testosterone Cyp. Testosterone to prostate tumors is like adding gasoline to fire. I'm pretty sure your wrong about estrogen. My family has a lot of prostate cancer and the only one ...

Re: HRT after castration

Hi everyone. I haven't haunted the board for a long long time. I hate people who only show up when they want something but.... Here I am! I'm in that prostate cancer boat. I've got the unfortunate mix of Prostate cancer and no testes so I don't make my own testosterone and the Docs say absolutly no ...

Re: lump

I just had a biopsy (Failed it - prostate cancer) and I asked the same question. Doesn't biopsy leak cancer cells? The doctor told me this was an excellent question but that it didn't work that way. I wish I had brought up the testicular cancer thing because doctors don't do biopsy then. Weird and ...

Re: Insurance and HRT?

Why would you volunteer that you were castrated by choice? If you are not local to Dr. Arnoff, then there is no reason that you need to reveal that you chose to be castrated. To get T , you need only to see your regular doctor, although an endocrinologist is a good idea.

Say to the doctor what ...

Re: Insurance and HRT?

Check out the copay cards that most drug companies have. Its possible to end up paying much less on the copay when you have one and tell the pharmacist. And I just wanted to add a comment about "voluntary castration." If it was not voluntary (in some fashion) it could only be involuntary castration ...

If you take anything I would seriously consider having your doctor check you with regular labs.

I don't think its ever been used as an anti-depressant its for seizure and pain control. And btw Anti-depressants don't change your personality. *Or at least are not supposed to.

Re: My life

Don't try to tough out pain. Its one thing I've learned from surgery. oxycodone or whatever they give you can be a real life saver. If it makes you feel a little loopy? Who cares. Hang in there on the boredom stuff. I totally am getting that. Day time TV is just about the worst...

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection

I'm still thinking of a former member who died in a "do it yourself" type procedure.

If your transexual why not see a doctor and do this under their care so your safe? I don't understand the cost problems with anti androgens. Spironolactone (For example) is pretty close to dirt cheap without ...
